It's hard to believe, but we leave for our trip in only 3 days. Yahoo!! Eeeks!!!!! Although I knew it was coming, it kind of snuck up on me. I kept putting off some of the planning, thinking, "As soon as the semester is over, I can get ready." And then, "I have a lot to do for summer school. As soon as it gets going, I can get ready." And now, "Oh no, summer school is over & we leave in 3 days!!!"
I'm not completely unprepared to leave. I'm working on my lists. We have reservations. I have toiletries that are smaller than 3 fl oz, and a 1 quart zip-lock to put them in. I have a collection of Sesame Street DVDs for the plane.
On another note, we took our 3 year-old pictures yesterday. Katie believes that her dress is a tutu (afterall, if it has tulle, it MUST be a tutu). And if she wears a tutu, then she MUST be a ballerina.
Each day, we'll post Katie's blog as well. Her class has a unit of learning on "Kings, Queens, & Castles." Check -- we'll be there. And the older kids at her school have a "Passport to Adventure" unit. Double-check there. So, some posts will be by grown-ups, and others, from Katie. Be sure to leave us comments. Internet time with be somewhat limited, so it's easier to look at comments on one site, rather than each of us checking our daily email.
