Well, I guess I haven't blogged in over a month. I had just about forgotten how to get to this page. I need to figure out how to do this blog thing before we go on our trip. Otherwise, what's the point??
Katie's last day of Early Preschool was today. She starts big girl (i.e. 3 year old) Preschool on Monday. So to celebrate, I took cupcakes to her class. not just any cupcakes, but ice cream cone-shaped cupcakes. They were big (try 2.5 times bigger than the standard cupcake). And Katie ate the whole thing. And she ate one yesterday, too. As I checked email, she tiptoed past the office and into the kitchen. She didn't come back to look for me, since she found cupcakes. And our bright little girl moved her Yertle the Turtle stool right up to the cupcakes and helped herself. Now there's some impressive problem solving skills at work.
Her teachers made Katie a little red graduation hat out of red paper. The other children in her class that are being moved up got one, too. It was so cute went I went for afternoon cupcakes to see the 4 kids with red graduation caps. It was one of the most heartwarming special moments I've had with her. Then, the class told me thank you for cupcakes, and the frosting fest began. as soon as Katie was done, I was out of there. I don't need to be in a room with 19 sugar-crazed 2 year-olds. No thank you.
If I can figure out how to post pictures, I'll do that. Have a great weekend!!
