When daylight savings screws up your schedule, you should know already that a 6 hour time change will certainly wreck havoc. I couldn't sleep on the plane at all. And this morning, Katie woke up at 12:30. Needless to say, when Katie wakes up, everyone wakes up. I finally gave up trying to get back to sleep and came down to the hotel lobby to read. The sun is coming up, which is pretty weird at 4 in the morning. Yesterday we rode the HoHo bus around, saw Westminster Abby, the river, and lots of other sights. The highlight of my day was MIND THE GAP on the underground. I'm on the public computer in the hotel lobby, but check back later in the week for pictures. In a little while, we'll be heading for Dover to board the cruise and the start of the Diet Coke Deprivation Experiment.
Love,
Laura
What no Diet Coke? This cannot be! Something is not right in the Kingdom! With no sleep and no Diet Coke, it will be a true test of your mettle.
ReplyDeleteHow was the plane trip over to jolly old London?
I'm having a hard time imagining. . .not a sleep deprived Laura (that one's easy) , but my wildest imagination can't fathom a DC-deprived Laura.
