Good morning! It's almost midnight here, and we are finally over jet lag. We slept late & didn't do much but walk around the ship. We had our dress-up dinner, and true to the laid-back dress code, slacks & casual skirts were the order of the evening. I wish all formal occasions could be so comfortable. Katie had a blast playing in the Kids' Club with her counselor, Miss Waffles (& her assistant named Syrup???). They had a birthday party for everyone complete with cupcakes, and played on the playzone (we'll have to take pictures of it). She even danced up as a princess & had princess face paint (think 80's makeup with eyeshadow & blush). Her counselor made her a pink Princess Katie crown & wand for her, and they paraded up to the Garden Cafe to get ice cream. What a night!!
Meanwhile, we went to listen to a talented chap who played Beatles tunes (and to enjoy a little martini) and went to this evening's show. It featured dancers & musicians performing lots of 70's tunes (Queen, ABBA, Village People). Particularly hilarious was a dancer riding a Katie-sized tricycle while singing Queen's "I want to ride my bicycle." It was in all, a very enjoyable evening.
Tomorrow is Copenhagen. More castles, churches, and a statue of The Little Mermaid. Hans Christian Anderson was from Copenhagen, so we'll be on the look-out for fairy tale villians who want to stuff us with sweets and eat us for dinner.
Love to all,
M, P, L, & K

I am so glad that Katie went to the Kids' Club today. That will make it so much easier for you when the ship is at sea. She can have some fun activities to do on her cruise as well as enjoy some of the activities ashore.
ReplyDeleteMolly says she misses you, but not to worry she is loving it with Aunt April and Uncle Duane.
ReplyDeleteGlad to here you are having a wonderful time
